Sparty...

I love all things Michigan State....Sparty is part is part of our tradition. Nike wanted to toughen him up and stylize him. Who am I to argue? Sparty has seen me go from a preppy college girl to a full fledged fashion fan.. I did not start out as a Phoebe Philo fan...I wore sweaters,LaCoste and Dock Martens.
Sparty wants to be more graphic and sculptural...I can not argue. I did the same thing....4 Sparta!

Tennis shoes...fun and funky PF Flyers

The P F Flyer is so retro and cool (think 30's tennis shoes and 70's basketball shoes) that you want to get on your beach cruiser and head for the Strand to show them off to your friends.

I love them...I went natural with the red trim. The Rambler...I had to get them to wear with J Brand capri's and a soft white shirt.
For men, I love the New Vintage in Black and Gray.

11 lbs and a healthier attitude and they call it The Biggest Loser!

Kathy phoned up a few weeks ago and wanted me to help her with her diet. She is participating in a "Biggest Loser"group at work and the lose of lbs comes with a donation to the LA food bank. We went grocery shopping for staples oatmeal, egg whites, cottage cheese, fresh fruits and vegies. Three weigh ins (weekly) she has lost 11 pounds. Excellent work.
It is fantastic following her progress. On Thursday mornings, I can't wait to hear about the weigh in!!! She is exercising vigorously and has such a great attitude. Who would have ever thought calling your sister the Biggest Loser would be a complement!!!

The Temecula Tangerine

One of the benefits of the "eat local" movement is how many more locally grown vegetables and fruits are in the local markets. The Temecula tangerine...perhaps one of the ugliest fruits you have ever seen is sweet and incredibly juicy. The tough skin peels back into a misshapen bowl that is beautiful in its own way. Try them...I buy the tangerines at Grow the Produce Store in
Manhattan Beach. Enjoy!!!
